This subseries contains correspondence created and received by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke, Ontario who were on mission in Peru. The correspondence concerns the establishment and operation of medical clinics and school, trips, finances, holidays, parish work, leadership, properties, the Novitiate, scholarships, liturgical services, the catechetics program, concerns regarding foreign aid, daily activities, and the Oneness Project. The Oneness Project was about the potential amalgamation of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada and the role of the Federation of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada. A portion of the correspondence is specifically related to the activities in Aucayacu. Some of the correspondences are chronicles of mission activities. In addition to the correspondence, there is other material. There are also contracts with the local parish outlining Sisters labours, with the Sisters of the Holy Cross and Congregation of Oblates of Mary Immaculate regarding collaborative work and an inter-congregational community, and with a Notary Public establishing the Power of Attorney for the mission. Mission evaluations related to apostolic activities such as the schools, catechetics, liturgical activities, a Girls Club, and nursing are also present. There is one set of meeting minutes from the Sisters in Peru related to the 1977 Chapter report. Chapters are meetings held within the congregation every four years where major decisions, such as voting on leadership, are made. There are also news clippings and newsletters about the mission, a pamphlet from the 1971 Orientation Program for Latin American Services from the U.S. Catholic Conference, and a booklet from the 1980 Congreso Internacional para la Familia de las Américas. There is also a 2004 decree from the Mayor of the Municipality of Chincha recognizing the contributions of Sister Nora Kelly to the area and blueprints of Colegio Parroquial, Chincha Alta, which is likely Colegio San Jose.
