This series contains a short historical summary written by Sister Marie Loma Laprise of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of London, Ontario during her western mission in St. Joseph’s Parish, Mission, British Columbia from 1980 to 1985. Sister Marie wrote about her desire to be assigned to a Western house, and how she was given permission to work as a cook and housekeeper in the convent at Haney (Maple Ridge) and in the rectory at Mission, in British Columbia.
