This subseries consists of two annual reports published by the London Foundation Donations Committee outlining charitable giving and its impact. The priority areas for funding include women, families, and children; the environment; community relationships; and urgent or emergency needs.
The subseries consists of short newsletters produced by the Donations Committee, providing irregular updates, often twice a year, to the Sisters on their charitable giving. The newsletter content includes goals and thematic priorities for donations, the work of particular organizations which received donations, amounts recently given, how the Donations Committee works, summaries of committee decisions, and how charitable giving expresses the Sisters’ faith and spiritual purposes. Newsletters are arranged chronologically starting with the most recent publication.
The series contains records documenting the various activities of the London Donations Committee. These include charitable donations in Canada and abroad, educational bursaries given predominantly to community members in London and southwestern Ontario, as well as donor awards and recognitions received by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Records include administrative correspondence, annual reports, newsletters, press clippings, a magazine, photographs, certificates, and a plaque.
