This series contains a historical summary and highlights of the activities of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke, Ontario’s mission in Chapeau, Quebec, from 1976 to 1994. Topics include, but are not limited to, ministry and educational programs, health issues, celebrations, visits, trips, building expansions, and day-to-day activities. There are also two short histories on the founding of St. Joseph’s Convent and Chapeau Normal School (later St. Mary’s Teachers College).

The subseries consists of correspondence, photographs, negatives, and hand drawn diagrams related to the building of the chapel and the manufacture of the stained-glass windows. The subseries also contains descriptions of symbolism used in the chapel, as well as scripts, notes, and audio cassettes for tours of the chapel.

An invitation to worship, an itemized bill for the chapel's construction, an order of service for the dedication of the chapel, news clippings and descriptions of the Symbolic Cross made by Rose Marie (Daisy) Bailey, correspondence and financial records from the London Council of Churches related to the chapel, correspondence about the upkeep of the chapel, a schedule of service, meeting notes regarding the future of the chapel, holiday cards, collections log, and correspondence related to donations to the chapel.
