Scope and content
Originally, the congregation was led by a General Superior and her General Council, but in 2007 the titles changed to Congregational Leader and the Congregational Leadership Circle (also referred to as Leadership Team). This subseries contains reports created by and presented to the Leadership Team. This includes Leadership Team Chapter Reports, End of Term Leadership Reports, Mid-Term Leadership Reports, Committee Reports, meeting minutes of the Leadership Team, summaries of congregational activities, historical timelines, pamphlets, prayers, a letter of congratulations for the YMCA “Women of Distinction Award” from the Canadian Red Cross, and three presentations on contemplation and critique by Sister Kathleen Pruitt, CSJP.
Notable topics discussed in the reports include Chapter meeting mandates and statements, membership statistics, charism, community justice and outreach programs, discernment processes, systemic justice, the One-Tonne challenge (a challenge for Canadians to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by one tonne each year), the Associates in Peru, finances, vocational work, and the various committees within the congregation. The material includes reports, meeting minutes, pamphlets, worship aids, correspondence, and notes.
