Scope and content
This subseries contains a short historical summary of the ministry of Sister Marcelline Janisse and Sister Marilyn Rosehart of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of London, Ontario, during their time at the Martinet Avenue Community Apartment in London. On June 27, 1994, Sister Marcelline and Sister Marilyn resided at Martinet Avenue and resumed their missionary work at St. Joseph’s Hospitality Centre (also known as the Soup Kitchen and Joe’s Café). Sister Marcelline was the manager of the Hospitality Centre from 1989 to 2001. In January 1990, Sister Marilyn became a member of the staff team at the Hospitality Centre until August 1998, when she moved and began a Spiritual Direction program at the Medaille House in London, Ontario.
