General note
The Academy Singers were formed by Mrs. Vicky Meredith, a teacher at the Academy with a passion for music. The Singers received plenty of acclaim during their time. Notable performances include a trip to Ireland in 1981, during which they admirably represented the Academy at the Cork International Choral Festival.
