    Scope and content

This subseries contains three photo albums that document the visual history of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of London, Ontario, during their Belle River Mission in the Parish of St. Simon and St. Jude, Ontario. There are photographs of the exterior and interior of St. Joseph’s Convent, St. Simon and St. Jude Church, and St. John Baptist School, in Belle River, Ontario. The photographs in these albums provide a glimpse into the lives of the Sisters and the various social, cultural, and spiritual activities they participated in such as, religious retreats, Jubilees, and seasonal celebrations like Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. There are photographs related to the travels the Sisters took on holiday trips to Niagara Falls, Ontario, and to Alberta. There are also photographs of the Sisters interacting with students at school events.
