This subseries contains photographs and newsclippings by and about the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of London, Ontario during their western mission in St. Patrick’s Parish in Haney, Maple Ridge, British Columbia. There are colour and black and white photographs of the Sisters and Fathers at Haney’s Convent (also known as St. Joseph’s Convent and Maple Ridge Convent), and at outings to Stanley Park, Allouette Lake, and the Pacific Coast in British Columbia. There are also photographs of the Sisters celebrating Silver and Diamond Jubilees at Haney’s Convent. In addition, there are newspaper articles from 1961 to 1981 on the history and achievements of the Sisters at St. Patrick’s School. In addition, there is a photo album that documents the history of the Sisters presence in Haney (Maple Ridge). In it are photographs and newspaper articles related to the arrival of the Sisters who came to serve in St. Patrick’s Parish, in 1956; the Sisters’ first steps towards a modern dress in a simplified habit change, in 1968; a ribbon cutting ceremony for the auditorium of St. Patrick’s School, in 1974; and the 25th (1986) and the 50th (2006) Anniversary of St. Patrick’s School.
