Mother Margaret Coughlin, the General Superior from 1947-1959, wrote monthly letters addressed to the local Sister Superiors and Sisters. These newsletters contain rules about Sisters’ activities, such as prayers and chapel decorum, and permissions related to the vow of poverty. Mother Margaret also wrote about Superiors’ meetings, Mount St. Joseph Motherhouse activity, the School of Music, Mount St. Joseph Academy briefs, and academic achievements.
