    Scope and content

This file contains the pages of an album by Sister Leona Colterman of Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke, Ontario, Canada about her ministry with the Tekakwitha Wickiup in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Tekakwitha Wickiup, founded in 1976, was a centre which provided counseling, community space, prayer, and information for accessing social services to those in need, particularly among the First Nations community. There are photographs of community events, accounts of the activities at Tekakwitha Wickiup, news clippings, pamphlets, newsletters, itineraries, a small drawing of the centre's logo (a First Nations person in profile wearing a single feather headband), and a small drawing of the centre's exterior. There is also correspondence and reports about the centre, inter-faith groups, and race-relations in Regina. This includes reports from the Association of Metis and Non-Status Indians of Saskatchewan.
