Scope and content

This series contains personal reflections and accounts by Sister Margaret Ferris about her travels. There are three travel diaries in this series: one from her trips to Quebec, Canada from 1959 to 1963, one from her travels to Peru and Florida, USA in 1981, and one from her pilgrimage to Le Puy, France in 2003. There is also a typed chronicle of the 2003 pilgrimage entitled Pilgrimage 2003 A Return to Our Roots and a lace bookmark from Le Puy. A large scrapbook from Sister Margaret Ferris’s trip to California, USA from 1984 to 1985 is also present. The scrapbook contains drawings and personal accounts by Sister Margaret, photographs, clippings, and ephemera from the trip. Locations of note within the scrapbook include Detroit, Oakland, San Francisco, Muir Woods National Monument, Berkeley, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Pasadena, Monterey, Reno, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe.
