Scope and content
This subseries contains the history of the Sisters' residence and foster home at 253 Belleview Avenue, Windsor. The foster home was intended to provide short term emergency placement for five children, but later adapted to provide placement for two children with physical and/or mental disabilities long term and up to three children short term. The Sisters welcomed the first child on August 1, 1980. After the first few months, the Roman Catholic Children's Aid Society assumed the finances of the home for the following year. However, to meet growing needs the Sisters again took over financial responsibility and moved the house to 7770 St. Rose Avenue in 1982.
