This series consists of legal records related to the establishment and administration of the St. Joseph’s Health Care Society. Records include newspaper clippings, a historical timeline, correspondence between Rome and the Diocese of London and a copy of the statutes of St. Joseph’s Health Care Society. The series also contains legal documents related to the establishment of the St. Joseph’s Health Care Society as a public juridic person under canon law, letters patent of incorporation, and documents related to the transfer of sponsorship of health care facilities from the Sisters of St. Joseph to the Society. Other records include Society by-laws and equity agreements pertaining to the transfer of ownership.
