This file primarily contains the financial and legal documents concerning the building specifications for the construction of a lake house in the Summer Village of Birchcliff by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of London, Ontario. As part of their western mission in the Archdiocese of Edmonton, the Sisters lived and worked in a rural area near Red Deer, Alberta. This file contains records on specific building requirements for the lake house such as for the flooring, indoor and outdoor painting, dry walling, finishing carpentry, fireplace mantel, carpet, electrical wiring, driveway, garage, and extra storage space. There are also communications and building contracts with surveyors and contractors such as Horn Surveys Ltd., Fekete Construction Co. Ltd., 4 Star Construction Ltd., and Forest Construction Ltd.
