Scope and content
This series consists of several bound reports made by and to the St. Joseph’s Health Care Society. The series includes annual reports produced by the St. Joseph’s Health Care Society, as well as reports made to the St. Joseph’s Health Care Society by the St. Joseph’s Health Services Association of Chatham, St. Joseph’s Health Centre Sarnia, and St. Joseph’s Health Centre London. The series also contains a report to the St. Joseph’s Health Care Society dated June 30, 1997, regarding the Catholicity of St. Joseph’s Health Centre London. The report was presented by John G. Harding, chair of St. Joseph’s Health Centre The series further contains a report produced by the Society in 1996 for the Health Services Restructuring Commission in response to the Lambton County Report. This report instructed the St. Joseph’s Health Centre board to implement a series of actions. However, the Society understood that three of these actions were outside the board’s authority. These specifically were to appoint a single Chief Executive Officer; to review the authority of the Joint Operational Planning Committee; and to transfer the ownership of the acute care buildings and adjacent land.
